Layout with comments

HTML comments on their own line steer the layout and never print. Alignment lasts until the next alignment comment, and blank lines you leave are kept as space.

Directives

<!-- center -->
left, right, center, justify
<!-- fullwidth -->
next table, full width
<!-- space: 3 -->
3 blank lines
extra empty lines
kept as space

Inside tables

An alignment comment between rows realigns every row after it. Put <!-- fullwidth --> right before a table to stretch it across the page.

Prices from each vendor's public pricing page, October 2026. Speeds measured October 2026 with the same one-page invoice: markdowntopdf.dev over the internet, Gotenberg 8 in local Docker with no network. Hosted APIs don't publish render times, and every call adds a round trip to their servers.
